This is a key role designed to structure, manage, and unlock the value of the company’s data, while exploring innovative use cases related to artificial intelligence.

The position is based in Paris. Occasional international travel is to be expected.

Main Tasks

The Digital Transformation Lead will be responsible for the following missions:

1. Define the Data Strategy

• Build the data roadmap aligned with the company’s strategic objectives ;
• Identify digitalization priorities for data-driven processes (production, billing, asset management, trading, finance, etc.) ;
• Assess opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence and predictive tools.

2. Lead Data Projects

• Coordinate data collection, processing, analysis, and visualization projects with subsidiaries ;
• Launch and oversee AI initiatives (e.g., production forecasting, market pricing, predictive maintenance) ;
• Supervise the development or integration of internal and external solutions.

3. Structure Data Governance

• Implement a data governance framework: quality, security, access, documentation ;
• Collaborate with the IT department on data architecture (data lakes, pipelines, BI tools) ;
• Drive upskilling of teams in Data & AI literacy.

4. Engage Stakeholders

• Support change management across subsidiaries (training, tool adoption) ;
• Work closely with business units and local IT teams ;
• Act as the internal go-to expert on Data/AI and represent the company with technology and academic partners.

Skills Required

The following skills are essential for the role:

• Fluency in English and French, both spoken and written ;
• Strong project management skills, with an agile and product-oriented approach ;
• Technical expertise in data science and in structured data environments (architecture, quality, security, governance) ;
• Solid knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), ETL processes, and experience with cloud environments (Azure, orchestration tools).

The following skills will set you apart:

• A strong technical background in data and/or artificial intelligence ;
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical topics to non-expert audiences ;
• Proficiency in Databricks and Microsoft Azure ;
• Comfort working in B2B environments, ideally within an industrial or tech-driven sector ;
• Good understanding of energy industry challenges (generation, trading, maintenance, etc.).

This role may not meet your expectations if you are uncomfortable with transversal responsibilities or with building strategy and processes from scratch.
