Mission

In an increasingly complex geopolitical and regulatory landscape, we are seeking a Country, Geopolitical Risk & Due diligence Analyst (8-month fixed-term contract) to support the Group’s risk assessment processes.

This role blends strategic country risk analysis with due diligence investigations, helping the organization anticipate macro-level geopolitical risks while ensuring micro-level compliance with business partners and investments.

By analyzing geopolitical developments, economic factors, regulatory risks, and corporate background checks, you will provide critical intelligence to decision-makers across all five continents. Your insights will enhance risk mitigation strategies and contribute to the Group’s operational resilience and compliance efforts.

You will be part of the Regulatory and Global Trade Affaires department and contribute to the Group's ability to make better decisions, anticipate and avert potential issues and help proactively mitigate risks.


Key Responsibilities

🌍 Country Risk Analysis & Geopolitical Intelligence

  • Monitor geopolitical developments, economic trends, regulatory changes, and events worldwide impacting the Group’s operations
  • Assess and track country risk exposure using structured methodologies and global risk indices.
  • Support the maintenance of the Group’s country assessment list and monitor changes.
  • Prepare geopolitical briefings and risk reports for internal stakeholders.


🔎 Due Diligence & Business Integrity verifications

  • Participate in the analysis of corporate structures, ownership transparency, and potential compliance risks.
  • Participate in the follow-up of due diligence verifications, including background checks on different entities on the case-by-case basis.
  • Support the preparation of due diligence analysis reports.
  • Contribute to the development of risk monitoring frameworks for due diligence verifications.


📊 Risk Intelligence & Monitoring

  • Participate in the development of dashboards and data visualization tools to track geopolitical, security and business risks.
  • Identify risk patterns across different regions and industries.
  • Support the team in enhancing and automated country risk assessment processes.


📑 Reporting & Strategic Insights

  • Summarize findings into intelligence briefings, risk assessment reports, and compliance recommendations.
  • Prepare presentations and supporting materials for governance committees.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (trade compliance, risk & internal control, security, legal, M&A) to support and refine risk strategies.


Job requirements and skills

Specific skills

  • Strong analytical skills with an interest in geopolitical risk assessment and data intelligence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); experience with Power BI is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques.
  • Ability to synthesize large datasets and translate findings into actionable intelligence.
  • Depending on profile, experience with programming languages and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) is a plus but not a pre-requisite.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks, corporate risk investigations, and due diligence processes is an advantage.

  • Strong interest in international relations, geopolitical analysis, and data intelligence.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset.


Languages

  • Fluency in English (written & spoken)
  • Other languages would be an advantage


Profile

  • Education: Master in International Relations, Risk Analysis, and also Economics, Political Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Experience: You are at the beginning of your career and have acquired some relevant experience. Any participation in international projects or in a multicultural environment is a plus.
