Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior IS Project Manager (PMO) with 8-20 years of experience to lead and oversee the delivery of complex IT projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in project management methodologies, process improvement, and portfolio management, with a proven ability to deliver large-scale IT initiatives on time, within budget, and with a high level of quality.

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of IT projects, work closely with senior leadership, and ensure alignment between business goals and technology solutions. You will guide cross-functional teams and lead the successful execution of IT projects across multiple domains, ensuring adherence to project management best practices and company standards.


Key Responsibilities:

* Project Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage a portfolio of IT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and optimal resource allocation.

* End-to-End Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects from initiation through to successful delivery, including project planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases. Ensure scope, budget, timeline, and quality are effectively managed.

* PMO Leadership & Governance: Establish and enforce project management best practices, governance processes, and project standards across the organization. Provide leadership in project management processes, methodology, and tools.

* Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, project teams, and senior leadership. Facilitate clear communication and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.

* Risk and Issue Management: Identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address any concerns. Ensure that project risks are effectively managed, and contingency plans are in place.

* Resource Management: Ensure appropriate allocation and utilization of resources across multiple projects. Work with functional managers to secure the necessary skills and expertise for project success.

* Budget & Financial Management: Develop and maintain project budgets. Ensure effective cost management, control, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

* Performance Reporting & Metrics: Track project performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics. Provide regular reports and presentations to executive leadership and stakeholders on project health, progress, and outcomes.

* Process Improvement & Best Practices: Continuously evaluate and refine project management processes, ensuring the integration of best practices and continuous improvement across the PMO.

* Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of project managers and other project resources, providing guidance, feedback, and development opportunities to grow project management capabilities within the organization.

* Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure project deliverables are met according to agreed-upon terms and timelines.

* Change Management: Facilitate change management processes, ensuring smooth transitions for teams, business units, and end users impacted by project initiatives.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

* 8-20 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in an IS (Information Systems) or IT Project Management role.

* Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects from conception through to successful implementation.

* Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches.

* Expertise in PMO governance, project portfolio management, and delivering business-aligned technology solutions.

* Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development, systems integration, and enterprise applications.

* Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello, Smartsheet) and collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint).

* Strong ability to manage project risks, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions proactively.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.

* Solid experience in budget management, resource planning, and financial reporting.

* Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and drive cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

* Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP (Program Management Professional), or similar industry-recognized certifications are highly preferred.

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with enterprise project management software (e.g., Clarity, Microsoft Project Server, etc.).

* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and digital transformation initiatives.

* Experience in managing cybersecurity projects, ERP implementations, or business-critical IT systems.

* Ability to work in global and cross-functional teams in complex, distributed environments.

* Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards for IT project management (e.g., ITIL, COBIT).
