Interim Divisional Finance Director - EC58235

We’re supporting a global manufacturing business in the search for a commercially minded Head of Finance to join their French operation (<100m EUR), which spans two business units. This is a visible and hands-on role suited to a data-driven finance professional with strong operational and corporate finance experience, and the ability to drive profitability and performance in a complex environment. This role can be based in either northern or southern France, with travel between the two sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with site leadership teams to improve margin execution, manage inventory, and reduce operational inefficiencies
• Provide strategic insight and financial oversight across two business units
• Own site-level reporting and analysis, ensuring accurate data drives decision-making and performance improvement
• Support controllers, providing extra bandwidth to challenge and drive strategic initiatives
• Influence change by embedding commercial discipline, challenging assumptions, and identifying areas for growth and efficiency

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified finance leader with experience in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain-led businesses
• Strong commercial and operational finance background with a hands-on approach to improving profitability
• Ability to interpret and challenge tax, statutory, and audit outputs (experience with Big 4 or transaction services a plus)
• Proven ability to lead across multiple locations, flexing between strategic and tactical work as needed
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
