Our client is a leader in offshore project delivery and services for the energy industry. They specialize in engineering, construction, and project management across the full lifecycle of offshore developments, encompassing both traditional oil and gas projects and a growing portfolio in renewable energy, such as offshore wind farms. They possess a significant fleet of specialized vessels and a worldwide presence, supporting clients in achieving their energy transition goals.


Scope

As part of a major international offshore construction project, you will be responsible for overseeing all freight forwarding operations related to the transport of critical equipment and materials across global supply chains.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating international shipments (air, sea, and road) in collaboration with fabrication yards, suppliers, and logistics hubs.
  • Managing and optimizing import/export flows while ensuring compliance with customs regulations and contractual requirements.
  • Handling transport documentation, including letters of credit, certificates of origin, Incoterms, and insurance certificates.
  • Selecting and managing freight forwarders and transport providers, ensuring performance and cost efficiency.
  • Monitoring shipment tracking and proactively addressing potential delays or non-compliance issues.
  • Collaborating closely with project teams, procurement, logistics, and HSE departments to align logistics with project timelines.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or international logistics, ideally within the offshore oil & gas, subsea, or large-scale industrial construction sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms, international trade compliance, and customs regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex supply chains in fast-paced, multicultural environments.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); French proficiency is a strong advantage.
