Head of Operations / Director of Operations

VIDA are partnering with a high-profile surgical robotics MedTech start up. Well-funded, and now with regulatory clearance, they are scaling up their operations in line with their commercial growth plan.

As such, they are looking to hire a Head of Operations or Director of Operations to take a leadership role for the France based operational activities. Working with the global operational leadership and reporting into the US into VP level, this role will lead the buying, planning, manufacturing and supply chain team in France. As a figurehead for the EU ops team, this position carries with it a strong functional and matrix leadership responsibility and the requirement to provide clarity of decision making as the organisation scales up.

The right profile will:

• Have strong medical device or medical equipment operational / manufacturing experience, and be able to evidence having effectively and efficiently managed materials through a process from buying to logistics out.

• Have broad knowledge of and experience working in more than just production or manufacturing in a regulated environment – i.e., broader supply chain experience is also needed.

• Be able to demonstrate experience of leading an operations function through a scaling up process and be able to demonstrate how you have built teams, processes and capability as demand increases.

• Be comfortable leading multi-functional teams and taking swift and decisive, but well thought out decisions in the absence of senior leadership.
