JDL Recruitment are excited to be partnering with a leading developer in the data centre sector , who are looking to expand their Paris -based team with a Scheduling Manager.
This opportunity is available on a local French contract and the package includes a basic salary, bonus, shares, company car, and healthcare.
Responsibilities:
Project Schedule Management
Take ownership of the master project schedule from pre-construction to completion, identifying and managing risks and opportunities at each stage.
Collaborate with external scheduling consultants to establish and refine baseline schedules to a high-quality standard.
Support schedulers in time-impact assessments and lead the implementation of mitigation and acceleration strategies.
Ensure contractor and consultant adherence to scheduling standards and processes.
Align construction schedules with key project milestones, including commissioning, tenant fit-out, and power delivery.
Procurement Support
Collaborate with internal teams to define tender evaluation criteria for schedule submissions.
Review and assess contractor tender schedules, offering recommendations based on feasibility and technical competence.
Mentor contractors on scheduling requirements to enhance capability and ensure alignment with standards.
Identify issues in contractor-submitted baselines and work collaboratively to resolve discrepancies.
Construction Project Coordination and Analysis
Agree project schedules and reporting formats with contractors, ensuring compliance with contractual and internal standards.
Monitor live construction schedules, tracking contractor performance against baseline and KPIs.
Ensure all scope or phasing changes are incorporated into current project schedules.
Support the validation and negotiation of contractor Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
Coordinate scheduling across all project components: design, long-lead equipment, commissioning, and handover.
Team Collaboration & Communication
Foster collaboration across stakeholders, supply chain, and internal teams.
Maintain transparent communication channels and escalation processes.
Work closely with the Project Lead and programme team to align project progress with business objectives.
Reporting & Risk Management
Oversee contractor reporting compliance and lead performance review meetings.
Identify, log, and report project risks and opportunities monthly.
Capture lessons learned and benchmark as-built schedule data at project closeout.
Requirements:
Degree-qualified with at least 3–5 years of scheduling experience, specifically on data centre projects.
Minimum 3 years of on-site project delivery experience.
Proven expertise in critical path method (CPM) scheduling for hyperscale data centres.
Proficient in Primavera P6 and knowledgeable in QRA tools such as Primavera Risk Analyzer or equivalent.
Strong Microsoft Power BI and Excel skills.
Confident working within multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary teams.
Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
Fluent in French is highly preferred.
