Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and qualified corporate lawyer under French law to join our team (Purchasing legal team). The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience possibly in legal department of multinational companies or in alternative, in international law firms, with a strong focus on procurement, supply chain and related contracts and litigation ( experience in consumer law and ICT is a plus).
Key Responsibilities:
This individual will be responsible for providing day by day legal advise to the management balancing business needs, problem solving, ensuring compliance with law and protecting the Company and will be part of Enlarged Europe Purchasing legal team ;
- drafting and negotiating cross border contracts/transactions with suppliers handling autonomously negotiations related to purchases with a particular emphasis on auotomotive components/products supply ( ensuring that intellectual property rights and quality and safety of the products are appropriately protected in the contractual relationship with suppliers) and service contracts, settlement of disputes, logistic, transports contract;
- Providing legal opinions and advice on contract law with main focus on (but not sole) French laws and EU Directives.
- Collaborating with the procurement and supply chain teams to address legal issues related to supplier relationships and contractual obligations.
- managing French litigations with suppliers (breach of contract for lack of delivery, safety and quality problems etc.)
- management of trouble suppliers issues including insolvency/bankruptcy procedures.
- .technology licensing and ICT agreements are considered a plus.
Qualifications:
- Qualified French Attorney at Law with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the above described fields possibly already knowledgeable of the automotive industry. French mother tongue and English fluent; German and/or Italian languages are a plus
-Ability to work independently, provide strategic legal advice, and manage complex legal matters.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
- ability to work under pressure and tight timeline
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in an international corporate environment.
- Familiarity with cross-border transactions, legal issues and regulations, especially in the procurement/industrial sectors.
