Job Title: Commercial Excellence Director - Executive Committee


Position Objective

Reporting to the General Manager and as part of the Executive Committee, this role shapes and executes strategies that enhance operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This position is pivotal in improving commercial effectiveness, optimizing internal processes, and driving strategic partnerships, while fostering a performance-driven and customer-centric culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve commercial operations to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Develop and implement innovative go-to-market strategies to boost sales performance.
  • Foster a customer-first mindset across the organization, aligning commercial initiatives with client expectations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial Operations, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and performance dashboards to drive execution and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate external service providers’ performance, structure, and cost efficiency; lead improvement plans accordingly.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners and industry influencers.
  • Oversee key partnership projects, ensuring executional excellence, compliance, and timely delivery within budget.
  • Support sales teams in defining targeting strategies, KPIs, analytics, dashboards, and performance levers.
  • Supervise the Customer Relations function and define priorities to continuously improve internal and external satisfaction.
  • Ensure alignment between commercial forecasts and operational execution by driving integrated planning processes in coordination with international stakeholders.
  • Support the development and implementation of the national market access strategy, including pricing and tender optimization.
  • Maintain strong relationships with distribution stakeholders (wholesalers, pharmacies, hospitals) to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee and implement a culture of internal customer excellence across departments.
  • Define and implement a digital transformation roadmap, integrating AI and automation to improve performance and reduce low-value tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, ethical, data privacy, and professional standards.


Candidate Profile

  • 10–15 years of experience in commercial operations, business excellence, or strategic project management in pharma, HealthTech, or consulting companies.
  • At least 5 years of team leadership experience, with proven ability to motivate, structure, and deliver.
  • Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset, able to connect market dynamics to execution.
  • Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical market, regulatory landscape, and customer environment in France.
  • Successful track record in new product launches and multi-stakeholder project management.
  • Experience working with CRM tools and analytics, with a strong data-driven approach to performance management.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English, both written and oral.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments; agile, pragmatic, and resilient.
  • Deep knowledge of quality management and operational excellence best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Digital fluency and ability to lead tech-enabled transformation projects.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and leverage emerging opportunities.
