Overview The Risk Officer will report to the Head of Risk and will support them by assisting in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall risk management framework.
The Risk Officer will be directly accountable for managing Operational / Third Party Management / BCM / ICT risk of the Bank. They will also support the Head of Risk in various other aspects of the Risk function.
The candidate should be a solution-oriented person, curious, capable to work in an international environment and with various stakeholders.
EAB SA develops two main businesses, a Private Banking business (PB) for non-resident clients and a business of Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) mainly focused on export financing to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region as well as project financing in that region.
Maintenance, review and revision of the Operational Risk Management Framework in the Bank.
• Coordinate the production and maintenance of the Risk Control Self-Assessment process to ensure that all key risks are identified, and appropriate controls in place to mitigate risks.
• Manage and follow up of all Operational Risk events, monitor remediation plan status.
• Design, monitor and report Operational risk indicators.
• Produce and deliver Operational Risk & Fraud awareness training to staff members and new joiners.
Third Party Management:
Maintain the Third-Party Management framework aligned with best practices and EBA guidelines.
• Support the Business in the onboarding of new vendors and collaborate with the various stakeholders to perform due diligences and risk assessments.
• Support the collection of KPIs and produce reports for the various committees.
Business Continuity Management:
Supporting EAB SA’s ability to anticipate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptive events. Ensure that contingency plans are maintained, regularly tested, and updated based on evolving risks and business needs.
• Coordinate resilience testing and call tree.
Produce the Credit risk reports.
• Support the Head of Risk in the production of the Risk reports for the Risk Committee, ALCO and ExCo.
• Min 5 years’ experience as an operational risk manager or in a similar role
• Solid knowledge of risk management principles and French and EU regulatory requirements applying to the Banking sector, such as: Art 3 Nov 2014, EBA guidelines on Third Management, DORA
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business administration or a similar discipline
• English: fluent, written & spoken
