Senior Project Manager

About the job and main responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to take part in the design and construction of major Waste-to-Energy Plants projects.

• You will be responsible for managing all the major stages of the creation of a waste-to-energy plant or revamping project.
• In the design phase, you coordinate internal and external technical studies and participate in the definition of the project; then the consultations and technical alignments in concert with the dedicated buyers, until the orders are placed.
• You will then manage the monitoring of the work and you will support your teams (management of the execution and resolution of malfunctions), up to the commissioning tests and acceptance of the structures.
• As a true conductor of the project but also capable of carrying out some of its tasks, you assume responsibility for the cost, deadlines and quality of deliverables, respect and defence of the contract, and ensure the coordination of the parties involved in the project and the interface with the client (internal and/or external).

Management:

• Coordinate and oversea the project team.
• Set the objectives of the team and partners (architect, project management, companies).
• Ensure the availability of resources: preparation of the budget, assignment of teams, etc.

Commercial & Contractual :

• Ensure the follow-up of the customer and supplier relationship
• Ensure compliance with and defense of the contract
• Monitoring of construction operations:
• Ensuring cost, quality and on-time compliance
• Follow the schedule and alert
• Manage the contingency envelope in the best possible way of risks and opportunities
• Carry out the monitoring of the project and its work, resolution of site malfunctions, contractual disputes, etc.
• Monitor performance indicators: budget control, resource management and meeting deadlines with dedicated support
• Ensure the application of contractual and regulatory standards, particularly in terms of quality, safety, hygiene and environmental impact.
• Report to the Achievements Department and the General Management and ensure that the objectives in terms of results are achieved,
• Guarantee the proper application of contracts and amendments related to the work with the stakeholders, resolve disputes.

Requirements

• General engineering degree or a speciality degree (process, civil engineering, energy, etc.)
• Minimum of 10 years' experience as a project manager or industrial site manager. You have worked for companies in the energy, oil & gas, waste treatment, project management or general contractors.

Location of the position: Position based in La Seyne sur Mer ideally, with travel on the site whose frequency/duration will increase during the works phase.
