Responsable logistique

For an international company operating in the automotive sector, we are currently looking for a Logistics Manager who will define and implement the logistics strategy in alignment with the company’s operational and strategic goals, ensuring compliance with safety standards and cost, quality, and time constraints.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define, implement and monitor KPIs to track logistics performance across planning, procurement, and supply chain functions.
  • Lead, support and develop team leaders by promoting motivation, competence development, and open communication in accordance with HR policies and labor regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations, identifying inefficiencies and proposing investment plans to relevant governance bodies.
  • Supervise production planning and scheduling activities based on commercial demand, ensuring optimal resource allocation and timely delivery.
  • Oversee procurement processes and stock management of external components, defining and tracking key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate the industrialization and improvement of logistics flows to support operational excellence and production efficiency.
  • Develop logistics strategies and set team objectives in line with plant-level strategic guidelines.
  • Manage human, material, and system resources within the logistics function, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, lead time, and cost targets.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders (production departments, technical services, purchasing, corporate/shared services) and external suppliers (negotiation and performance follow-up).
  • Participate in steering committees, providing updates on project progress, challenges, and implemented solutions; empowered to halt logistics operations in case of safety or quality concerns.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management roles within structured and industrial environments.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to guide, motivate and develop cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of production planning, stock management, and procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of labor regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
  • Experience in negotiation with suppliers, managing cost, quantity, and lead time expectations.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and lean logistics principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and capacity to make decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to operate effectively in cross-functional and multicultural environments.
  • Fluency in French and English is required; knowledge of additional languages is considered a plus.
