Retail Education & Sales Manager


A leading global beauty brand in the premium haircare and personal care space is seeking a Retail Sales Manager to drive sales performance, elevate product education, and strengthen in-store brand execution across a key French retail network.


This role is field-based and ideal for a self-motivated professional with a background in luxury beauty or cosmetics retail, training, or field sales.


The successful candidate will operate as an independent contractor, managing relationships with approximately 50 top-performing stores (out of a national network of 230+), primarily in department stores and a prestigious retail chain. This is not a people management role, but an individual contributor position focused on store visits, training, merchandising, and sales enablement.


Key Responsibilities:


Retail Sales Development

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with store managers and in-store staff.
  • Execute local sales and marketing initiatives in collaboration with the brand’s retail team.
  • Monitor sell-out performance and implement tailored action plans to increase conversion.
  • Motivate store teams through incentive programs and ongoing engagement.
  • Ensure the brand’s allocated retail space is well-maintained and maximized.

Training & Education

  • Deliver engaging, brand-aligned product training to beauty advisors and sales associates.
  • Coach store staff on sales techniques and product storytelling.
  • Develop both digital and in-person training tools to support ongoing knowledge and performance.

Merchandising & Brand Excellence

  • Ensure brand guidelines and visual merchandising standards are upheld across locations.
  • Implement promotional displays, seasonal campaigns, and retail activations.
  • Maximize brand visibility and presence in stores through optimal placement and execution.


Requirements:


Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in retail sales, field training, or education within cosmetics, beauty, or luxury goods.
  • Native French speaker with fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and influence at the store level.
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising, store operations, and customer experience principles.
  • Comfortable working independently with frequent travel across France.
