Location: OTECH – Puyoo (France)

Type: Full-time


Main Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain dealer relationships: Establish and maintain contact with existing dealers in Africa, ensuring strong and productive partnerships.
  • Market outreach: Reach out to the market to develop new customers, generate inquiries, and understand customer needs to recommend the most suitable OTECH products and solutions.
  • Sales and marketing collaboration: Participate in the development and execution of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, and customer satisfaction strategies for the assigned region or country.
  • Market and customer forecasting: Forecast customer and market trends for proactive forward planning, while also monitoring competitors' activities in the relevant markets.
  • Key account management: Build and sustain long-term, positive relationships with key accounts, distributors, and dealers through regular customer visits, offering consultations, and supporting them with OTECH solutions.
  • Sales operations: Manage day-to-day sales operations for customers, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  • Sales support oversight: Oversee the administrative sales support functions including customer service, invoicing, credit, and collections.
  • Competition and pricing strategy: Perform competition analysis and develop pricing strategies on a project basis, aligning with market standards.
  • Customer support: Provide support for customer complaints, product returns, and resolving issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Trade fair participation: Represent OTECH at international trade fairs to showcase products, expand the brand's presence, and generate new leads.
  • Reporting and offer preparation: Prepare and present detailed reports on activities carried out, as well as create tailored offers for customers.
  • Internal cooperation: Work closely with other departments within Farmfront to ensure alignment and support for the company’s goals and strategies.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3/5 years of experience
  • Previous experience in the irrigation business is preferred, especially with a competitor.
  • Bachelor’s degree in agricultural subjects; Agricultural Engineering degree is preferred.
  • A strong interest and general knowledge in agriculture and agricultural technology.
  • Willingness to learn and sell multiple irrigation technologies (responsibility lies with the region, not the product) to support Group objectives.
  • Ability to understand both stated and unarticulated customer needs.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the applicable products, services, and capabilities offered by OTECH.
  • Proven ability to achieve success and drive growth.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a focus on long-term client success.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, French (mandatory), and Portuguese (a plus for managing Mozambique and Angola).
  • Familiarity with export trade practices, including payment terms and Incoterms.
  • Availability to travel 50% of the time, depending on market needs and customer requirements.
