We are recruiting in Saclay for a permanent position as a Cell Biology Expert (M/F) for a mission within a prestigious pharmaceutical group starting in April 2025. Our client is an international pharmaceutical laboratory committed to therapeutic progress for the benefit of patients, in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Its growth is based on a constant search for innovation across multiple therapeutic areas.

The mission of the Cell Biology Expert is to contribute to drug discovery projects by identifying and characterizing bioactive molecules that serve as starting points for the development of new therapeutic solutions. We are seeking an expert in cell-based assays for drug discovery to operationally lead one of our screening teams and represent the department in therapeutic project teams. You will be responsible for establishing hit identification and triaging strategies.

Principales responsabilités

• Selection of assays to identify and characterize bioactive molecules.
• Collaborate closely with other teams to produce and validate the molecular and cellular tools necessary for assay development, as well as work with experts to select hits for progression.
• Develop, optimize, and validate assays.
• Ensure proper documentation of assay protocols.
• Maintain data integrity and adhere to good practices.

Profil

• PhD in Cell Biology (with a focus on oncology and/or neurology) is imperative.
• At least 2 years of post-doctoral experience in biological research, particularly in developing methodologies for drug discovery and executing screening and profiling campaigns.
• Familiarity with key solutions for the miniaturization and automation of biological assays for HTS.
• Excellent skills in biological assay development, screening, and profiling.
• Solid background in cell biology and cell-based assay technologies for HTS and HCS, including pharmacological compound testing, luminescence-based assays for studying cell viability and compound toxicity, RT-qPCR, cell imaging, and flow cytometry, as well as HTS data mining and visualization.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Experience with 3D cell culture is a plus.
• Experience in managing multiple projects and demonstrating leadership. A strong team player who is organized, rigorous, creative, efficient, and adaptable.
