Cloud Architect

AWS Cloud Architect - Paris / Remote

Next Ventures are currently looking for an experienced AWS cloud architect to join a large retail client located in France on a 6 month extendable contract

The role will be primarily remote with some onsite presence required. Either 1 day a week or 3-4 days per month.

The Role

● Design end-to-end cloud architectures on AWS for new and existing applications.

● Troubleshoot and debug end-to-end cloud application code using AWS stack

● Provide detailed documentation, end-user training, and knowledge-transfer services to customers.

● Application performance tuning and optimization

● Experience in serverless architecture and cloud native development

● Clear understanding of software development & version control best practices

● Understand the current application infrastructure and suggest changes to it.

● Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.

● Define service capacity planning strategies.

● Implement the application’s CI/CD pipeline using the AWS CI/CD stack.

● Write infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or similar.

Your Skills and Experience

● 5+ years of experience in a Cloud engineering or development role.

● Expertise in Python scripting is required.

● Deep familiarity with AWS services like Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, API Gateway, Step Functions

● Experience in DevOps environments and integrating CI/CD pipelines.

● Understanding of system integration and microservice design

● Experience working in an Agile development methodology

● Understanding the Principles of OAuth2.0
