Safety Supervisor

Blackfield Associates are currently partnered with an Engineering service provider to support their search for a Construction Safety Manager to join one of their pharmaceutical clients projects based in Normandy on an initial 12-month contract. Key Responsibilities: Lead strategies to identify, assess, and control construction-related EHS risks across major capital projects. Support preconstruction planning, including constructability reviews, permitting, project execution strategies, and contractor prequalification. Develop and approve essential safety documentation, including Construction Safety Plans and EHS management strategies. Monitor construction EHS performance through audits, inspections, safety meetings, and review of contractor plans and schedules. Coordinate closely with site teams to manage interface boundaries, emergency planning, and the safe handover of project responsibilities upon completion. Experience and Skills Required: Strong hands-on experience as a Construction Manager or Construction EHS Manager. Proven track record managing construction safety in regulated environments, ideally in life sciences or similarly complex sectors. Demonstrated leadership in guiding contractor and project teams in applying high EHS standards and construction best practices. Solid understanding of regulatory and internal standards for construction safety and risk mitigation. Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills for managing multiple stakeholders and site interfaces.
