BUSINESS CONTROLLER

Together, we create a stimulating environment for talented and passionate experts in research, technology, and business to explore new ideas and challenge existing assumptions.This role sits within finance and reports to the Head of HR FinanceMissionsFinancial Planning BudgetingBuild and maintain financial planning tools to support strategic decision-makingDevelop annual budgets aligned with business objectivesForecast annual revenues on a monthly basisForecast annual expenses (including staff costs) on a quarterly basisMonitor budget vs. actual performance and identify root causes of variancesIdentify trends and patterns to inform future planningFinancial Reporting AnalysisCreate internal monthly and annual management reports covering:Revenues, expenses, and profitability by business lineHeadcount and staff cost analysisKey performance indicators (KPIs) and metricsProvide actionable insights to support management decision-makingCost Management OptimizationMonitor operating costs across all departmentsIdentify and quantify cost-saving opportunities with implementation roadmapsAnalyze profitability by investment strategy, product line and client segmentControl expenses through variance monitoring and process improvementsSupport process efficiency initiatives to optimize resource utilizationTreasury Cash ManagementOptimize cash investments to maximize returns while managing riskOptimize FX positioning to manage currency risk and capture gains/lossesMonitor liquidity and working capital requirementsForecast cash flow requirementsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with business units to understand operational drivers and financial impactSupport operational and transformation projects with financial analysisEnsure compliance with internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with audit and compliance teams on control frameworksProfile• Master's degree (Business School or Engineering School, Corporate Finance)• Minimum 5 years of experience in management accounting, corporate finance or similar role in banking/asset management• Excellent Excel proficiency (modeling, pivot tables, macros)• Bloomberg experience desired• Rigor, attention to detail, analytical skills• Excellent written and oral communication (synthesis)• PowerPoint proficiency• Use of AI to optimize existing processes• Fluent EnglishEQUAL OPPORTUNITIES STATEMENT We are continuously striving to be an equal opportunity employer and we prohibit any discrimination based on sex, disability, origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, race, or religion.
