Supply Chain Manager
Spherical Search is partnering with a global pharmaceutical and healthcare organisation to appoint a Supply Chain Manager within its Injectables division.

Within its Injectables division, the business provides specialist solutions supporting the development and manufacture of injectable pharmaceutical products. The division operates within a highly regulated environment where quality, reliability, operational excellence and supply continuity are critical to customer success.
This is an opportunity to join an established international organisation and take a key leadership role within the Supply Chain function of one of its industrial sites.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the site’s OTIF R & C performance.
You will take ownership of the organisation and performance of the site’s flows, covering:
- Planning and scheduling
- Logistics
- Inventory management, including inventory value and depreciation
- Supply Chain productivity
- Continuous improvement
You will lead the site’s Supply productivity plan and define, drive and deploy the Supply Chain roadmap, ensuring alignment with the wider business strategy.
You will also contribute to the development of the Injectables Supply Chain roadmap and ensure the consistent application of Supply Chain standards and best practices across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operational Management
- Lead the Planning / Scheduling function.
- Lead the Logistics function, including the management of flows and storage of:
- Raw Materials (RM)
- Work in Progress (WIP)
- Finished Goods (FG)
- Manage the operating budget for the Supply Chain function.
Business Support & Supply Chain Expertise
- Represent the Industrial Supply Chain function with customers.
- Represent Supply Chain within the site’s Steering Committee (COPIL).
- Play a leading role in the development of the ERP, Supply Chain tools and process improvements.
- Contribute to the definition of the Global Supply Chain roadmap.
- Act as an ambassador for Supply Chain and the customer across the site.
People Management
- Lead, develop and motivate the Supply Chain teams.
- Manage multi-skilling and cross-coverage, including appropriate backup arrangements.
- Define the roadmap for your area of responsibility and establish objectives for team members.
- Ensure the safety of employees within your area of responsibility, in line with the organisation’s HSE policy.
KPIs & Customer Performance
- Ensure achievement of the department’s KBO targets.
- Analyse performance results and identify appropriate corrective actions.
- Present results during formal performance reviews.
- Ensure customer commitments are consistently met in terms of:
- Quantity
- Quality
- Delivery times
Planning, MPS & Scheduling
- Establish and propose the site’s Master Production Schedule (MPS / PDP).
- Contribute to defining the production organisation of the site within the PIC and S&OP processes.
- Implement the production plan validated through the S&OP and MPS processes.
- Ensure alignment between workload and capacity at the site.
- Anticipate future organisational requirements and developments.
- Adjust the production plan in response to delays or technical incidents.
- Integrate the availability of Raw Materials and Packaging into the planning process.
- Manage inventory levels across the site, including:
- Finished Goods
- Semi-Finished Goods / Work in Progress
- Raw Materials
- Packaging
- Coordinate specific activities, including RNS and mixing.
Logistics
- Organise inventories for the site and for the service providers under your responsibility, in accordance with the relevant Injectables processes.
- Drive the HSE approach across your area of responsibility.
- Ensure the timely supply of Raw Materials and WIP to production.
- Guarantee the accuracy of inventory records within the information system.
- Identify and implement corrective actions where required.
- Develop and drive a continuous improvement approach across the logistics function.
- Lead improvement initiatives with the service providers under your responsibility.
- Contribute to defining the Injectables logistics model, including shuttles and storage organisation.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A Master’s degree / BAC+5 or equivalent qualification.
- Strong analytical skills, combined with a methodical and autonomous approach.
- Good knowledge of industrial tools and systems.
- Strong and demonstrable leadership capability.
- A dynamic and proactive approach, with excellent communication skills and a strong customer orientation.
- The ability to effectively share information, knowledge and best practices.
- Fluent English in a professional environment.
- Strong proficiency with IT tools and ERP systems.
- A clear results orientation and a genuine culture of performance.
The Opportunity
This is a broad Supply Chain leadership position within a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, offering responsibility across planning, scheduling, logistics, inventory, customer performance and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence both site-level operational performance and the wider Supply Chain roadmap, while leading and developing a key Supply Chain team within an international organisation.
