For our EPC project “Centrale à moteurs Corse du Sud” we are looking for a Construction Manager E&I to lead and coordinate all Electrical & Instrumentation construction activities throughout project execution, from project award and mobilization through completion and handover.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards, contractual requirements, and Company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all E&I construction activities, including direct-hire personnel, subcontractors, vendors, superintendents, and supervisors.
- Plan, organize, and manage site mobilization and demobilization activities, including personnel, equipment, materials, temporary facilities, and tools.
- Develop and monitor construction schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies in line with the overall project schedule.
- Monitor and coordinate site activities for electrical, control, and instrumentation installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, procedures, HSE, and quality requirements.
- Ensure the efficient use of manpower, equipment, materials, and other construction resources.
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractors and vendors, ensuring performance in line with project requirements, schedules, and procedures.
- Support constructability reviews and verify the feasibility of engineering documents from a construction perspective, identifying issues and coordinating corrective actions with the Project/Site Management and Engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, Quality, Security, and Company standards, including workforce certifications, training, and permit-to-work requirements.
- Monitor construction progress, identify risks, delays, and deviations, and implement corrective actions in coordination with the Project/Site Manager.
- Coordinate E&I material delivery, prefabrication activities, testing, completion, punch list closure, and handover of systems and subsystems to the Commissioning team.
- Coordinate with the Commissioning and Completion teams to ensure that all required documentation, certifications, and activities are completed for project handover.
- Interface with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and reporting on critical issues and mitigation actions.
- Support commercial and contractual activities, including variations, new prices, change orders, claims, and dispute management, when required.
- Support the Project/Site Manager in defining construction resources, execution plans, and project closeout activities.
- Contribute to project closeout and lessons learned, ensuring proper handover of construction documentation and feedback to the Company organization.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing E&I construction activities on large industrial, Energy, Oil & Gas, EPC, or infrastructure projects.
- Solid experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, superintendents, supervisors, and site teams.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, control systems, substations, telecommunications, and utility installations.
- Solid understanding of construction planning, scheduling, constructability, commissioning, and project execution processes.
- Experience working in international, multicultural, and multidisciplinary project environments.
- Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of HSE regulations, quality standards, and construction best practices.
- Ability to manage priorities, resources, and critical issues in a complex site environment.
