Regional Human Resources Director, Logistics

Job Overview

This is a core senior HR role for the Group’s European business. The incumbent will take full charge of human resources strategy and end-to-end HR management for warehouse and distribution centers across European countries. Key responsibilities include the establishment of standardized cross-country HR systems, local labor law compliance, industrial relations management, frontline workforce operation, talent development and regional HR cost control. The role closely collaborates with European operational management to drive stable, scalable and compliant development of European warehouse business with refined HR cost management.


Core Job Responsibilities

1. European HR Strategy & Cross-border Workforce Planning

Formulate and implement unified HR strategies aligned with global corporate policies and local European business demands. Lead cross-regional and multi-site workforce planning for European warehouse operations, covering peak-season staffing preparation, flexible workforce deployment, cross-border manpower coordination and headcount budget control. Balance operational efficiency, service quality and overall HR cost structure, and regularly report key regional HR data and operational status to group management.

2. European HR System Standardization & Local Adaptation

Establish and promote standardized European HR workflows covering recruitment, onboarding, shift management, performance management, training, attendance and offboarding. Adapt group HR policies to local requirements in compliance with labor regulations in France and other European countries, ensuring unified corporate management standards while fitting local industrial characteristics and workplace cultures. Unify HR data statistics, dashboards and reporting standards across all European warehouse sites to realize integrated regional HR data management.

3. Industrial Relations & Labor Compliance (Core Priority)

Oversee regional industrial relations management, including liaison with French CSE (Comité Social et Économique), union negotiations, employee representative communication and cross-European employee committee coordination. Manage cross-border labor compliance risks, regulating shift arrangements, night allowances, overtime, leave policies, collective agreement renewal and annual salary negotiations. Lead compliant handling of employee disciplinary issues, labor dispute mediation, termination procedures, workforce restructuring and collective layoffs in strict accordance with local European labor laws, preventing labor conflicts and operational suspension risks.

4. European Warehouse Talent Management & Development

Oversee mass recruitment for frontline warehouse staff and talent acquisition for warehouse supervisors and site management roles across European logistics hubs. Build regional warehouse management talent pipelines, implement reserve talent training and succession plans for key positions. Develop targeted talent retention strategies to reduce frontline turnover, stabilize grassroots teams and enhance the employer brand of European logistics parks.

5. Organizational Development & Cross-border Team Culture Building

Conduct regional employee engagement surveys and implement improvement plans to reduce absenteeism and enhance cross-border team cohesion. Standardize safety training, new employee onboarding systems and employee development paths across all European warehouse sites. Promote cross-cultural integration among multi-country teams and build a high-execution, business-oriented European HR team culture.

6. Regional HR Team Management

Manage local HR staff across France and European countries, clarify team responsibilities, optimize cross-border HR manpower allocation, and build a professional, standardized and efficient regional HR operation system.


Job Requirements

  • 15+ years of professional experience in human resources
  • Proven experience in cross-border warehouse HR management in Europe, with solid knowledge of labor laws and industrial relations practices in European countries
  • Proficient in pan-European works council governance, union negotiations, collective labor consultations, labor dispute resolution, and compliant workforce restructuring. Extensive experience managing both white-collar staff and large frontline blue-collar teams across logistics sites.
  • Strong capabilities in regional workforce planning, cross-border cost control, turnover improvement and large-scale frontline team management
  • Strategic mindset with solid business acumen, capable of collaborating efficiently with European operation leaders and site management teams
  • Excellent cross-border coordination, business negotiation and risk management capabilities
