JOB SUMMARY / INTRODUCTION
The selected candidate will participate to build a strong Risk governance framework covering FAB France.
The candidate is responsible under FAB France Chief Risk Officer and Head of ERM leadership to build and maintain a robust independent oversight and monitoring of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) & Credit Risk.
The job holder will oversee generating and managing all Bank/Group Credit Risk reporting and perform second level control of Bank Regulatory reporting (COREP, Large exposure, Leverage ratio etc.) according to French/EU requirements.
The job holder will participate in developing and implementing an integrated risk management strategy (especially on credit area); framework and control system to ensure the Bank operates within an agreed risk appetite and complies with its internal policy and external regulatory obligations.
In doing this, the selected candidate will work closely with FAB France Risk Management team and Group Risk Management/Credit Risk units to ensure the Group methodologies, policies, procedures and limit frameworks are established in FAB France.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Governance
- Act as the secretary of Risk Committee and other committees as required.
- Ensure that committees are conducted in an orderly and timely manner with support and minutes circulated and signed in time as per FAB France Governance Framework.
- Oversee development and review of credit risk related policies, procedures, and other documents such as IFRS9, Collateral Management, Industry concentration, Model definition etc. as well and assist Head of ERM France in reviewing other risk management related documents.
- Ensure effective implementation of credit risk procedures, policies, and framework in FAB France.
- In conjunction with, and as required by the Country Chief Risk Officer and the Head of ERM manage the comprehensive risk reporting framework for Country Risk Committee.
- Provide regular reports to Head of ERM on bank’s risk profile with mitigation plans. Assist in the taking appropriate decisions to manage the risk profile within the set appetite.
Credit Risk Management
- Ensure that the NPL accounts are properly monitored and maintained as per the French and European regulations as well as Group guidelines and are approved by the committee.
- Maintain the list of doubtful accounts as approved by committee and ensure that those are updated well in system.
- Calculate and monitor all indicators pertaining to IFRS 9 requirements (PD, EAD, LGD, ECL etc.).
- Ensure prudential and accounting reconciliation in the branch as well as reconciliation with Group data when required.
- Ensure stress testing and model definition related to Credit Risk are properly calibrated and reviewed when required.
- Contribution to Pillar 2 requirements for all tasks related to Credit Risk.
- Ensure implementation of credit risk processes and maintaining a comprehensive credit risk framework in the branch.
- Ensure that the limit framework is in compliance with the Group Wide Country Limit Framework.
- Contribution in the Implementation of IFRS9 in FAB France and subsidiarisation project.
- Ensure that the data is timely and correctly collected for all risk management related reports.
- Oversee monitoring risk appetite indicators to implement a robust risk appetite framework in the bank.
- Performing daily, weekly, and monthly risk management reports as required.
- Performing quarterly 2nd LOD control for Credit Risk reports.
- Performing annual processes such as RACI, RCSA, Pillar 3 etc.
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma (5 years) in the fields of Banking, Finance, Accounting, Engineering and/or Financial Mathematics.
- Experience in banking or similar sector.
- Good knowledge of IFRS9 process, ICAAP / ILAAP, stress testing, modelling.
- Mastering Office pack and financial tools.
- Operational level of English and French, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of French / European banking regulations.
- Ability to multi-task as well as prioritize.
- Team player, able to meet tight deadlines and manage challenging workload.
- Problem solver, ability to think laterally and creatively, strong negotiating and influencing skills; ability to develop strong relationships and leverage these to build productive processes.
