Construction Project Manager


About the job

Reporting directly to the Project and Program Management Director, the Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of projects, from inception through completion including final close-out. He/She works closely with Newmark internal teams, clients, design teams, contractors, and consultants across a wide range of projects, including: offices fit-out and retail.


Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Initial pitch delivery.
  • Ability to set up multi-disciplinary teams and the development of client briefs including project programmes.
  • Day to day project management of the design, procurement & and construction process.
  • Risk management.
  • Day to day ‘Contract Administration’.
  • Responsible for project scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines.
  • Supports the definition of client requirements in coordination with senior management.
  • Contributes to the selection of design teams, contractors, and consultants.


Design, Documentation & Control

  • Manages the design and documentation process in line with budget constraints.
  • Reviews and monitors project documentation from design phase through completion.
  • Ensures accurate and well-organized internal project documentation.


Procurement & Contracts

  • Oversees the preparation of tender documentation and manages RFP processes.
  • Reviews and validates invoices, variations (change orders), and payments in compliance with company and client procedures.


Monitoring, Reporting & Communication

  • Responsible of the preparation of meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Ensures consistent reporting throughout all project phases.
  • Prepares and presents client reports (status updates, summaries, outstanding issues).
  • Flags key risks and issues and proposes solutions.


Handover & Close-out

  • Manages project handover, snagging (defects), and final close-out.
  • Ensures all contractual deliverables are completed through final completion.


Business Development

  • Develops and maintains a professional network (including participation in industry events).
  • Identifies new areas of commercial opportunity


Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or Project Management.
  • Minimum of 3/5 years’ experience in Project Management and/or construction.
  • Fluency in French and English required; Italian is a plus.


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Ability to read and review architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of MEP systems will also be required.
