Scientific Project Manager


My client, a biotech company harnessing artificial intelligence to transform the drug discovery and development process with a focus on immunology and inflammation are in search for a Scientific Project Manager.


As a Scientific Project Manager, you will be responsible for being the bridge between internal R&D teams and external clients of the business (pharma, biotech etc)


Key responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and develop scientific opportunities that match strategic priorities (e.g., consortia, joint R&D projects, grant programmes, data partnerships).
  • Support the design and initiation of new research programmes by drafting scientific protocols and contributing to project scopes.
  • Own the operational management of a portfolio of projects: set milestones, schedule timelines, allocate resources and track progress to ensure timely delivery.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of competitive research funding proposals and support administrative/grant reporting.
  • Ensure scientific rigor across projects: perform literature reviews, analyse biomedical data and draft experimental protocols and study plans.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams (AI, product, business development) and external scientific partners (academic labs, clinical sites, industry collaborators).
  • Translate research outputs into high-quality technical reports and client deliverables in collaboration with commercial teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders to foster long-term collaboration.

Who you are

  • 3–5 years’ experience managing research or data-science projects in a biomedical/clinical setting.
  • Strong background in immunology and a solid understanding of translational research in immune-mediated diseases.
  • Familiarity with data-driven research (biomedical data, computational biology or data-science workflows).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and to act as the bridge between biomedical experts and data scientists.
  • Strong networking and stakeholder management skills.
